Saturday Night Fever!
haven't been blogging for some time and it feels utterly odd. well, i will still TRY and blog.
a lot of things happened last week and it mostly involve saturday night fever. the saturday night fever dance play that's coming to KL soon. i went to almost all the night spots in kl just to get the ticket and finally, i got a pair. maybe going there with my sister, nicky or whoever that's free on that day.
what i did was, i go to nightspots and wait for the saturday night fever boogie dancers and let them do their thing (which is dancing of course, that's why we call em' dancers...)and then we wait for the host/mc to ask questions about saturday night fever. if you get one of the question right, you have 2 tickets to saturday night fever dance.
1st night (wednesday)

i went to planet hollywood to get the ticket with meng. i thought i was gonna win the ticket but someone tipped his friend about the question and i didn't manage to win. arghhhhh. life's not fair! i was like 1/2 a second slower. the feeling when watching the mr. bugger took MY tickets was too hard for me to digest. i wish i brought my Glock along. when i thought nothing's gonna be worse, they are offering ticket to people who is willing to dance. being the stage shy me, i was kind of considering about doing it...the event's over when i decided what i wanted to do.
2nd night (friday)

the boogies dancers were at the Bar Flam's and i went there a little early. when i wanted to go into Bar Flam, they kind of stopped me and told me i can't go in. fuckkkk, i was ONLY wearing a cap (not to mention slippers [but they're reebok, dammit] and tee shirt. heheeh. i didn't want to wear shoes or whateer cause i don't want to club. get it? ) i called zoe and i went to her place to pick her up so that i won't be there alone on the 2nd spot of the night, Telawi Street Bistro (TSB). when i got to zoe's house and back to bangsar again, i saw mr. bugger in TSB! [this is where they play the song for a very tense situation i.e - some retro stuff from 80's hulk) but mr bugger didn't get any seat near to the mc cause the place was packed. hahahah. it's my destiny to win the ticket. after going through a hard time waiting for the dancers to do the same dance again, i manage to win the tickets!!! of fucking course i am fucking satis'fucking'fied. i actually gave up on getting the ticket after they won't let me in Bar Flam's. now that i have the ticket, i actually feel a little cockier than usual!
3rd night (Chino's KLCC)

yeah i know, i have the ticket already. what the hell am i doing there? well zoe wants the ticket and Gan was busy so he can't get the ticket for her. since i owe her a favour, i HAD to go with her. i manage to bring christy along and to cut the long story short, zoe got the ticket and i kind of caught one of the dancer's attention (the prettiest of them of course!) and she kind of showed me to go do the saturday night fever finger pointing dance. haha. i think i have done everything now...after the ticket, me, zoe and christy and beng had a celebration party! party!!!! well, this might a little anti-climax but we didn't exactly party, just had supper at a spot in good old petaling street, but the food is good.
conclusion - we won 2 pairs of tickets! anyone who is interested to go, please call 012-3279825 cause i can't figure out who to bring yet and andrew, if you're reading this, i'm not going to bring you...go and get the tickets yourself dammit!

Watering them flowers
my parents left for china a few days ago. so basically i am home alone everyday. yeah, everyday alright for the next two weeks.
one of the things that my mom love most is i think gardening. i have so much plants in my frontyard, wait...let me rephrase myself, the plants that my mom has can't fit my frontyard. yup, that's how much my mom love plants. when i told her that she has way too much plants she said she wanna buy more pots for the flowers. haha. well, she's my mom. mom equals to boss and the son equals to driver. so the son has to drive her to get more pots even though he feels that mommy has way too much plants at home. well...
so before my mom took off to china, she asked me to take care of the plants and try not to let any of them die before she's back. commitment. how the hell am i going to kill them anyway? well, for starters i forgot to water them for 2 days already...haha. i only watered them just now...
while watering the plants, i realised that why my mom love the plants so much. yes, COMMITMENT again. if i was older, i think i might love plants more too. as much as my mom i suppose. it's a type of hobby. makes you feel needed by something. so when you're 60 years old and your children abandon you, you won't feel that empty. there's something waiting for you to be done everyday you get up from the bed. i think people with no hobby die earlier than people who does. being needed by something is somehow amazing. something's life is depended on you...
i didn't know that till i water the plan and i can't help but think that i have wasted so much time these two days doing nothing but still forgot (or refuse) to water the plants. when i finally did, i know that i'll have to do that tomorrow cause it won't be another day that i 'have nothing to do'...
i know what i wrote was silly but if you can feel what i feel, maybe you can understand

the number above represent my birthday this year. yup, the fourth of april...and it's '04 this year so it makes my birthday date this year looks more bad luck than ever to chinese. but i just adore the no. 4. hahaah. who cares?
well, birthday this year is better than last year. i had bad food poisoning last year. i think it was the coffee bean muffin that was not fresh enough...dammit! why is this year better than the rest? well for starters i wasn't sick. then micole, nicole, rosalind, myn wee, kai san, pei yee, carie, and a whole lot more messaged and called. i was so happy. i think almost everyone close to me wished me happy birthday. G forgotten cause she's tied up with submission and jenifur is not even aware is my birthday...hahaha. so it's totally ok.
the birthday eve i went out with john and he didn't even know it was my birthday. he only knew before we left 1957. so he offered to buy me a drink. nice to celebrate birthday with people when they are not aware of it. they treat you like usual. actually wanted to go pd for wine but i was caught up with a dinner. my first birthday present was actually from manchester united when they beat arsenal in the FA cup semi finals 1 - 0. it was a feel good thingy for me. yippies
on my birthday i have to go the temple and meet my parents up cause they were there for some prayers thingy for 'ching ming'. went there, did some prayers for about and hour then i had lunch and left for low yatt plaza. had to collect some wireless LAN card for my personal network.
then at night i went out with jon, zoe and christy for dinner in TGI Friday's. christy was so impressed with the food, she said she wanna bring her mom (my aunt) there. haha. then zoe did some bad ass thingy. she told the waiter it was my birthday. oh then hell breaks loose. i was given a ketchup bottle as an acting mic to give a one minute speech on the chair to my friends. it was zoe's idea. so i had to blah something out for a minute. i just remembered i said there are not enough drinks...ahahaha. then we send christy back and went to john's place for beer, cigar and xbox. well, at least for jon it was xbox. me & zoe, plain cigar and beer while john was having dunhill lights...(who wants dunhill when you have havana cigar?)
well, that's all i did on my birthday. i slept at 2+ after i got home

PEOPLE I KNOW
i have some new toys in my house. i bought a cordless phone and i also installed broadband in my computer. BROAD'fucking'BAND. it's wireless so anyone around my housing area can use it i think. well at least that's what everyone says. i'm not gonna do no charity and provide anyone my broadband (my precious...!!!), right?
been out lately. seen jon a couple of times, zoe a couple of times and teoh ah beng a couple of times too. this sunday i wanna go eat seafood with them i think. they're those people that i can call as good friends cause they don't annoy me. hahaah. really. well, there is micole and G and some other people whose name i can't or didn't mention but those are the good ones that's around.
i manage to get some good food into tummy lately too. i went for porridge (during a rainy night which was really perfect), went for beef noodle and cakes too. cakes was a dissappointment. you can never get a good slice of cake anymore...
well, eleanor's in town tommorow. not like really in town but she's gonna be around till sunday. i'm stuck with all my plans and stuff i don't think i ever have time to see eleanor this time around. well, it's over anyone so why bother right? if i don't see christy tomorrow, i might be able to slip an hour and go see her...1 hour...i don't think so...christy's been on the waiting list since forever, i have to see her!
well, i'm need to surf the net more, download more and etc...go to sleep early cause tom's a busy day
